People don't want to have to modify their house before they buy a robot because that would be too expensive. Also, some scientists believe that our bodies which allow us to interact with our environment in such a large number of different ways may be part of the reason why we have developed such advanced intelligence. We need to build humanoids in order to better understand ourselves. Cheers!
